Hananui Fishing Charters is run by the Hananui Lodge & Apartments. Your locally born host John Clifford has been fishing these waters for decades. The Bay of Islands has a plethora of fish including Snapper, Trevalli, Kahawai (otherwise known as Sea Trout), Terakihi and much more.

Charters are available to everyone, even if you are not currently a guest of the Hananui Lodge & Apartments. Of course, when we get busy, priority will be given to our guests.

Four Hour Charter

Enjoy four hours of morning or afternoon fishing. Fish most likely to be caught on this trip are Snapper, Trevalli, Kahawai and Terakihi. At just $100 per person, you'll be provided with bait, rod and tackle. And we'll even clean and fillet your fish at the end of the trip.

Minimum cost of $250. Maximum of four people.

Six Hour Charter

For those of you looking for a little more excitement and challenge what about experiencing a Kingfish at the end of your line? Now these fish live further out, so we'll need another couple of extra hours to get you there and back. For this reason, we tend to start out in the morning. At $200 per person we'll provide the bait, rod, tackle and we'll clean and fillet your fish at the end of the trip.

Minimum cost of $400. Maximum of four people.
